The Chief (1st run from YYE) Gold Edition

I believe that I will play this yoyo for the rest of my life. Not another one. This one. That's because I got something special at a special time. These were limited and I think those who got them are lucky. It is one of the craziest phenomena to switch from an avalanche to this. Flies. Fast. Fun. Really Fun.

                                     THIS BOX IS AWESOME
          (someones nickname from highschool)
This is what I was lucky enough to grab within the four minutes they sold out in...

Trick of the day. Spirit Bomb.

Trick of the Day. Donora

Brett named a trick after my band!  I'm honored to have been an inspiration to him!

Trick of the day. Dirty Carpet.

A little collaboration goes a long way. I had the chance to show Jacob the beginning of this trick and he just went all fancy on me! Great job buddy. Special thanks to Augie Fash and Sector-Y.

ONE SHOT MONKEY SNOT

Just got a package from Monkeyfinger with their new colored flowable silicone ONE SHOT MONKEY SNOT! So freaking cool. Thanks guys!

First up: Avalache and Custom Painted Superwide with "Egg Yolk Yellow".

Next up: Well, It's like they knew what I needed.
You can buy it here at their online store.

Side Note:  got a chance to throw an evil yo yesterday and I think I grew a 5 O'clock shadow before it was done grinding.

I got the hook up.

A big thanks to Brett from HSYY for bringing me into the future. I had an old Yomega bag from 1998...

I've gotten more free t-shirts in the last month than I have in my entire life!
The stampede was not free, but was well worth what I payed!  Grind and look at your watch.
It was a freaking awesome day of painting, shooting the shat, and just hanging out. I had a blast!

Trick of the day! Asian Pops!

Upcoming review

Expect pictures and reviews of X3 Stampede in the near future. Check back often.

Painting with HIGH SPEED YOYO

I had a chance to go out and meet the crew from HSYY today and this is what we did.

Brett's got some really creative and ingenious painting methods.

I yoyo too. But only for the cats entertainment.

Are you a bedroom all-star?

Very nice tech nick cue. (Technique, ahaha...ughhh.)
If you haven't splurged on a yoyo for a while, get one at wholesale price in the www.highspeedyoyo.com store. Duncan's new throws, One Drop with unique ano, a spyy new for a used price. From experience I can tell you that you will get anything you order within 3 days. Brett Rules.

Trick of the day. Can you do it 3 times in a row?

Vs. NYYC Battaosi

specs:

Weight: 65.50 g
Width: 40.00mm
Diameter: 51.0mm
Gap Width: 4.10mm
flowable silicone response that accepts hat pads
C bearing

First thought: Undersized and fast.

Second thought: Is it really spinning?

Final thoughts: Great ano job on this lil' guy. Mine is one of the happy tree editions. Heath charges 115 for these but 25 goes to help kids for a better christmas.  There are 4 left at his store right now. I'm gonna hold on to this one for sure.

This is one of the fastest  players I've encountered. Buyer beware!

3Yo3 Bass Line

Bass Line specs

  • Diameter: 56.40mm
  • Width: 41.18mm
  • Gap Width: 4.1mm
  • Weight: 66.4 grams
  • Response: Flowable Silicone
  • Bearing: Pre-Cleaned C-Bearing      (Specs courtesy of HSYY)
First thought: this isn't 66 grams.

Second thought: floaty

Third thought: Fast

String recommendation: HamString 12 (available at HSYY) or slick six from YYE.

Side notes: Try to get one while they are still around. I don't think a lot of people will want to part with theirs. I know I don't.

The man behind this yoyo, Landon Balk, shows some smarts w/ this one. He used advice of Ernie from General -Yo. This can only be a good thing.
